Dog Days

Today was one of those really good dogs days. Why? Well, first off Bailey, who can be a tad antisocial with other dogs, walked like a pro with Charlie. Not one (excuse the pun) doggone problem.

That long tongue was hanging off to the side of her mouth as she made her way around the PV Condo City. Charlie is such a healer...whether kids, senior or the homeless...and now dogs-gone-wild...he manages to bring out all the good energy in everyone by sharing a little of his own.

I was worried little Bay Rae might act up because she hasn't been out with him in a few weeks...but nope, she knew him right away and scampered after him for two whole miles. Mama had a big old grin on her face...finally, a normal walk with my dog.

Not to be ignored we stopped off to pick up Bean afterwards and head over to see Grandma. Beanie & Grandma have that little relationship going on...they both like to sit on the sofa, cuddle and cat nap together. Plus, Grandma saves little treats now for the wieners...so they now understand that she's more than family, she's also a master chef.

And then...yes there is more. A Facebook friend contacted me about a wiener in need of a home, so...I called and he is being dropped off on Monday to spend the week to see how he does.

No, not with me...with Grandma. She's lonely and we've been talking about this for a while...really since Cody passed which was before even G'pa had left. But too much was going on obviously so we've been waiting for both the dust to settle and the right dog to come along. This little guy might just be it...

See? A good dog day.
