I grew up as a military brat, moving every 2-3 years and learning very quickly that making friends meant saying good-bye to them; that packing and unpacking sucks. So this little childhood experience probably squashed the travel bug in me at an early age.
Recently though I've found myself parked on the NatGeo or Travel channel pining to pack my bags for places farther away than my usual and beloved Pismo stompin' grounds.
